Introducing the revolutionary EcoMax Chemical Pump

The patented EcoMax Chemical Pump represents a significant change for natural gas producers, making them more efficient, increasing their revenues, lowering their operating costs, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions and consequently the environmental damage caused by traditional chemical injection methods.

Natural gas producers use chemical pumps to inject methanol into the wellhead to prevent hydrates from forming. Once formed, these hydrates can plug or 'freeze' wells and pipelines and significantly affect production operations and lower productivity. Moreover, traditional pumps are inefficient both economically and environmentally.

Using leading-edge technology, the EcoMax Pump is highly energy efficient:

  • The pump is driven by a low differential pressure that is typically available between the wellhead and the pipeline.
  • The pump uses gas from the wellhead or other sources with zero emissions exhausting to atmosphere.
  • The pump returns the exhaust gas to the sales/flow line or other gas gathering systems.

By using the EcoMax Chemical Pump, natural gas operators:

  • can sell gas that they would have otherwise emitted to the atmosphere from sweet gas facilities;
  • can eliminate the need for propane or fuel gas at sour gas facilities; and
  • may accumulate Kyoto Accord-related carbon credits for eliminating greenhouse gas emissions.

The revolutionary EcoMax Chemical Pump was developed by our highly skilled and experienced managers and engineers and tested in the field with the cooperation of one of our major customers.

The EcoMax Pump is proven reliable in most field conditions and is easy to install and maintain. Because it is driven by low differential pressure, the EcoMax Pump can run continuously in any weather conditions. It is designed for sweet and sour service and its compact design means it can be installed in existing skid packages. Stroke speed is adjustable for more efficient distribution of chemicals, and the same EcoMax pump that is used to inject methanol can also be used to inject other liquids, such as corrosion inhibitors into sour gas wells.

The multiple benefits of the EcoMax Chemical Pump include:

The zero-emissions EcoMax Chemical Pump addresses requirements of both the recently ratified international Kyoto accord on climate change and the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Guide 60 on the emission of fugitive gases from well sites.

EcoMax holds a United States patent on the EcoMax Chemical Pump proprietary drive system. The pump is patent pending in Canada.

Future applications

EcoMax is at present researching other applications for the proprietary drive system it has developed for the EcoMax Chemical Pump that will expand its uses in the oil and gas and other industries.
