Field developed and proven reliable

We worked closely in the field with a major international energy company to develop the EcoMax Chemical Pump. The hundreds of EcoMax pumps now in operation at customer sites have a strong track record of working reliably in a wide variety and the toughest of field conditions and physical environments.

One pump, multi-use

In addition to injecting methanol to prevent hydrate formation, the EcoMax Chemical Pump can simultaneously inject other liquids, such as corrosion inhibitors into sour gas wells. Competitors' pumps require one pump for injecting methanol and another for other liquids. That means you can replace two of your old pumps with one EcoMax pump, thus reducing costs and improving efficiency.

Easy to install and maintain

We like to say that with the EcoMax Chemical Pump, "you can plug it in and walk away". That may be a slight over-simplification, but the EcoMax Chemical Pump is quick and very easy to install at both new and existing sites and has proven that it requires minimal maintenance in both sweet and sour gas environments.

Driven by low differential pressure

The EcoMax Chemical Pump works within the existing framework of your well site. The pump is driven by the normal differential pressure that is typically available between your wellhead and your pipeline. The pump does not require any additional power source when injecting normal amounts of methanol or corrosion inhibitor.

Continuous operation

The EcoMax Chemical Pump can run continuously if you need it to under any weather conditions - rain or shine, hot or well-below-zero temperatures.

Designed for sweet or sour service

We designed the EcoMax Chemical Pump so that it will keep on running reliably through the harshest of operating conditions - water, debris and even the corrosive sour gas environment.

Compact design

The EcoMax Chemical Pump's compact design means that it fits into your existing skid package; there is no need to install a new building to house it.

Fully adjustable, no waste

With the EcoMax Chemical Pump, you have full control of the stroke speed and efficiency. It can pump as frequently as you need it to - from one to 60 strokes per minute - so you achieve the perfect distribution of liquids and make the most effective and efficient use of your methanol or corrosion inhibitors.

Benefits of the EcoMax Chemical Pump

Zero emissions

With traditional chemical pumps, the wellhead gas, fuel gas or even expensive propane that is used to drive these pumps is typically vented into the atmosphere, which is harmful to the environment. The patented EcoMax Chemical Pump system eliminates all emissions from the pumping process. The pump uses gas from the wellhead or another source with zero exhausting to atmosphere.

Increases production, reduces operating costs

Traditional gas-driven pumps exhaust wellhead gas, fuel gas or propane to atmosphere. This venting reduces production and increases operating costs. The EcoMax Chemical Pump cycles the source gas used to drive the pump through the unit and reinjects it back into the sales pipeline, thus increasing production and reducing operating costs.

Improves safety

Because it eliminates all harmful emissions from the pumping process, the EcoMax Chemical Pump improves safety both for wellsite workers and the general public living near wellsites.

Remarkably long run times

The EcoMax Chemical Pump is 'operator friendly' and requires minimal maintenance. The pump has proven to have much longer run times before maintenance than other pumps on the market. EcoMax pumps we have in operation are typically running for over two years - 30 to 40 million cycles - with only periodic greasing required.

Fast payback

The EcoMax Chemical Pump provides you a very fast payback - in some cases as little as six weeks - by allowing you to: better control your methanol injection rates; eliminate emissions; reduce maintenance costs; and reinject source gas back into the sales pipeline and thereby increase revenues.

Meets regulatory and Kyoto requirements

The zero-emissions EcoMax Chemical Pump addresses requirements of both the recently ratified international Kyoto accord on climate change and the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Guide 60 on the emission of fugitive gases from well sites.

Users of the zero-emissions EcoMax Chemical Pump may qualify for carbon credits under the Kyoto accord for the greenhouse gas emission reductions they achieve by using the pump.
